Questions

What is the Molten market calendar?

A free interactive calendar of the film and TV markets and festivals from September 2026 to August 2027. You pick the events you attend or track, and the page builds a calendar of those dates, the submission and accreditation deadlines behind them, and a prep runway before each one, then either hands it straight over as a file or sends it to your email as a file and a subscription link.

Which markets and festivals does it cover?

118 confirmed events across 34 countries, from the majors (Cannes and the Marché du Film, Berlinale and the EFM, TIFF, MIPCOM, AFM, Sundance, Venice) to the regional and genre markets. Only dates the organiser has published are listed; an edition that has not announced yet is held back rather than guessed.

How is it different from a list of market dates?

A list gives you dates to copy out by hand. This page builds the calendar for you: the events you choose, the deadlines that feed them, and the preparation steps timed before each one, as real calendar entries you can open in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

Does it include submission and accreditation deadlines?

Yes. Each market you choose brings its published deadlines with it: film submissions, project and pitch calls, accreditation and early registration cutoffs. Deadlines for the following edition are included, since most fall months before the market itself.

How do I add it to Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar?

Choose your events, then either download the .ics or have it mailed to you. The download needs no email address and is a fixed copy of the dates as they stand today. The mail carries the same .ics, which Outlook imports, plus a subscription link, which Google Calendar and Apple Calendar keep in sync so a date the organiser moves updates on its own.

Can I edit my calendar after I have sent it?

Yes. Every entry in a subscribed calendar carries a link to your agenda page, where you can remove events, add your own and resend. Google Calendar takes a few hours to show a change; Apple Calendar refreshes on its own schedule.

How often are the dates updated?

The list is checked against the organisers' announcements through the year and corrected as they publish. A subscribed calendar picks up a correction on its next refresh without you doing anything.

Who makes the market calendar?

Molten Cloud, the rights, royalties and content management platform for film and TV distribution. The calendar is free. Downloading it asks for nothing at all; having it mailed asks only for the address to send it to.
